DepEd to conduct One Health Week Celebration every SY

Per Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 28, s. 2018 titled Policy and Guidelines on Oplan Kalusugan sa Department of Education (OK sa DepEd), the Department will conduct a One Health Week every school year to showcase DepEd school health and nutrition programs and services.
The celebration is aimed to highlight activities and services under the following flagship programs:
a. School-Based Feeding Program;
b. National Drug Education Program;
c. Adolescent Reproductive Health Program;
d. Water Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools Program;
e. Medical, Dental and Nursing Services, including the School Dental Health Care Program; and
f. School Mental Health Program.
The One Health Week celebration will be held from September 6 to 11, 2021 to support the preparation for the opening of classes in September 13, 2021 with the theme Bayanihan para sa Kalusugan: Ok sa DepEd, sa Paaralan at sa Tahanan.
DepEd Regional Offices and schools division offices through their respective School Health and Nutrition Unita/Sections are enjoined to host their own weeklong activities promoting their respective health and nutrition initiatives for the schools and the learners in their respective schools divisions, and how such initiatives ensure health, safety, and well-being of the learners amid the pandemic. ###
