East Butuan District III Reaps Multiple Awards

East Butuan District III headed by the Public School District Supervisor (PSDS) Dr. Jonas H. Jomonong garnered seven (7) awards during the Educators’ Congress and State of the Division Address (SODA) of the Schools Division of Butuan on December 23, 2021 at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.
Taligaman National High School (Taligaman NHS) headed by the School Principal Mr. Elmer M. Cataluña and Basag National High School (Basag NHS) led by the School Head Dr. Dante P. More contributed to this eminent success by winning the following awards: Basag NHS as Advanced Level of Practice in the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM); Taligaman NHS as Sustained Advanced Level of Practice in SBM; Mr. Melvin C. Cabonegro as 2021 Division Outstanding SBM Coordinator; Taligaman NHS as 2021 Division Outstanding Secondary School and Regional Finalist; Taligaman NHS as Most Learning Focused – Junior High School Large Category and Most Learning Focused – Senior High School Large Category in the Regional Search for the 2020-2021 Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Curriculum and Instruction (SAFE-CI) and National Finalist; and Taligaman NHS as one of the Best Continuous Improvement (CI) Projects in the Region.
“I am so proud of my East III Family especially Taligaman NHS and Basag NHS which really gave their best in winning these awards. My salute to all the people behind this victory. In East III, we innovate as one!”, said Dr. Jomonong.
This was the result of collaboration of internal and external stakeholders who constantly exerted their best in providing quality services for all. The event was attended by the Division, District and School personnel with the invited stakeholders to give recognition to the outstanding performances of select individuals and schools which contributed to the huge achievements of the entire division. Dr. Marilou B. Dedumo, Schools Division Superintendent presented these accomplishments during her SODA. ###
