ABSTRACT
 
          Filipinos are known to be smart and intelligent, versatile, very creative and resourceful. Filipinos does not settle for less at it always explores to continuously learn more every day. Due to the Filipino’s deep hunger for computer education and in answer to the needs of the fast moving Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Filipinos commit themselves to deepen their knowledge and understanding the use of ICT. All schools both private and public sector adopted the modernization of the industries with the use of computer machines with built- in or installed Microsoft Office and Programming Software for educational purposes. This study used the descriptive comparative survey and used the researcher- made questionnaire to determine the learning styles of the students as predictor on the performance in Introduction to Programming subject. The respondents of the study are the 25 students taking up Introduction to Programming. This study is conducted in Butuan City, Caraga Region, Mindanao, Philippines. The purpose of this study is to determine the learning styles as predictors on the performance of students. Respondents are categorized into visual learning style, auditory learning style, and kinesthetic learning style.  The results of this study challenged the researcher identified the learning style that dominates each of the respondents for a commitment to be of service through the provision of an environment where students has always the opportunities to relate theories and knowledge to practical and actual hands-on training to become efficient and effective in doing their respective program requirements.  The findings of the study revealed that visual learning style and kinesthetic learning style dominated respondents learning styles.
