Bit-os ES shines in the district reading festival and learning resource expo 2016


Bit-os Elementary School once again shines in the recently concluded District Reading Festival and Learning Resource Expo held at West Central Elementary School last November 11, 2016.
Mylzar Pauline Leop bagged the first place in storytelling for grade-VI with her coach, Mrs. Gemma T. Tito and Kyle B. Plantar, a Grade-II pupil won first place in Spelling with his coach Mrs. Filadelfa D. Oclarit.
Furthermore, Bea Mariz C. Indac was awarded as second place in spelling for grade-I with Ms. Estela C. Camilosa as coach and Anna Claire C. Avila garnered second place in spelling for grade-III with Mrs. Valeriana C. Cloma as coach.  In addition, BES jazz chants for grade-IV landed third with Mrs. Joy Carol A. Belarmino and Mrs. Madelyn A. Malot as the coach.  Lastly, BES verse choir ranked fourth with Ms. Jiffelyn Silao as coach.  All first placers will compete in the division reading festival comes November 29, 2016 at Butuan Central Elementary School.

The said competition was in line with the efforts of DepEd in strengthening its reading program and as part of the National Reading Month celebration with the theme, “My Love for Reading: A Key to Unlock My Future Dreams and Aspirations”.  This also aims to showcase varied reading, communication skills and talents of pupils and students through different contests, promote literacy and develop the love of reading among pupils and students and exhibit and recognize the contextualized and localized learning materials developed by teachers.
