3B’s Simultaneous Launching

The problem of having a bulk number of non-readers is one of the problems a school is facing today. That is why the Department of Education issued a DepEd Memorandum No. 173 s. 2019 known as HAMON: BAWAT BATA BUMABASA (3B’s) was launched. An initiative of the department in order to support to its K to 12 BEC program which mandate to produce productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies and skills for a lifelong learning and to make every learners a reader and to equip learners with reading skills to make them proficient and independent readers in their grade level and capacitate teachers to become effective reading teachers.
In connection with this, Division of Butuan City also initiated the conduct of the simultaneous School-Based Launching of 3B’s which includes Amparo Central Elementary School last January 27, 2020 at Amparo, Butuan City, wherein one teacher per grade level from Kinder to Grade XII will  do the demonstration teaching of the six elements of reading to maximum of 30 learners in every grade level for approximately 30 minutes per lesson. This demonstration teaching is an ICT aided LESSON EXEMPLAR and to be done in 2-3 hours only. The said demonstration teaching was observed by the Education Program Supervisor in TECHVOC Mr. Victor M. Hernando with ACES Principal II Orben D. Arconada.  It was participated by the Kagawad Incharge of Education Mrs. Marilou Galay and GPTA Secretary Apple Mondejar with some stakeholders, some parents and most of all the pupils per grade level.
Six teachers volunteered the demonstration teaching. Started from Mrs. Belinda E. Rendon, Kinder teacher; Mrs. Charmie O. Gapayao, Grade I teacher; Miss Joy Betaizar, for Grades II and III, Mrs. Rhyza Silaga, Grade IV teacher; Mrs. Laarni C. Berandal, Grade V teacher; and Miss Jassel Amba, Grade VI teacher. This 3B’s initiative is one of the answered prayers to cater the need in reading. An answer to the quench to achieve a 100% readers in every school. This will somehow help us achieve quality education that we yearn for many years. A challenge for all of us not only the teachers and school administrators but also to the parents, guardians and other individual who can contribute in developing the pupil’s reading skills. ###
