DepEd to conduct orientation for regional, schools division offices on mental health, psychosocial support services

The Department of Education (DepEd) through DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2020 (Adoption of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan for School Year 2020-2020 in Light of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency), recognizes as a priority the promotion and protection of the mental health and general welfare of learners and personnel in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service is conducting Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS)for teaching and non-teaching personnel and learners from July to August, in preparation for the opening of classes, as part of eh Brigada Eskwela activities.
The orientation for regional and schools division offices on MHPSS in eh time of COVID-19 for Learners and DepEd Personnel will be conducted on July 2, 2020 with the aim to establish the importance MHPSS interventions; identify PHPSS activities of DepEd; and provide guidance to ROs and SDOs in the implementation of MHPSS activities. ###
