179 Students of ALS – EST Program Graduated Successfully

The Development Academy of the Philippines and Alternative Learning System – Educational Skills Training or DAP ALS-EST Completion Program for students who completed it through the Intensified Abot-Alam Program was successfully held today, March 6, 2023, at Robinson’s Place Butuan.
The Intensified Abot-Alam Program, which aims to provide Basic Skills to Out-of-School-Youth and Adults so they can use it as a livelihood, is being implemented by the Development Academy of the Philippines, or DAP, in collaboration with the Local Government of Butuan through the City Education Literacy and Scholarship Office and Department of Education-Butuan City Division.
The Program has four Skills which are Basic Bookkeeping, SMAW, Plumbing, and Basic Computer Servicing with 179 successful graduates who graduated where they were personally congratulated and attended by DAP Personnel, LGU Butuan City Officials, and DepED Officials.
The most significant reason the said curriculum was implemented was to strive and aspire that the graduates will be able to apply what they have learned in school to help them in their development and challenges. The learners also received their Starter Kits that can be used to start their livelihood.
DAP and DepEd are also grateful to our Mayor, Hon. Ronnie Vicente C. Lagnada for tirelessly supporting this program in the city regarding education. ###
