Ang Probinsyano Supports Chiz Escudero’s Senate Bid
Ang Probinsyano Party-list has declared its support to the Senate comeback bid of Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero for his strong advocacies meant to uplift the plight and life of the rural folk.
In endorsing the veteran lawmaker, the partylist, through a post on its Facebook page, urged Filipino voters to elect Escudero on the basis of his track record as a public servant since he started in 1998 as representative of Sorsogon in Congress.
“Kami po sa Ang Probinsyano Party-list, bilang tagapagsulong ng karapatan at pag-unlad ng buhay sa probinsya, ay buong pusong sumusuporta sa pagtakbo ni Gov. Chiz Escudero para senador. Makakasigurado tayong magiging kasama natin ni Gov. Chiz sa pagsulong ng mga batas na talagang makakatulong sa ating mga kababayan lalo na sa ating mga probinsyano,” the sectoral organization declared.
“Bilang isang probinsyano rin, tinutukan ni Gov. Chiz ang sitwasyon at pangangailangan ng ating mga probinsya, at sya din ang nagsulong ng ilang mga batas at proyekto para mapataas ang antas ng pamumuhay sa probinsya,” it added.
Ang Probinsyano, which is again participating in this year’s election, is based in Legaspi City. It is currently represented in the House of Representatives by Cong. Alfred delos Santos.
Escudero’s Senate run is also supported by party-list groups An Waray, Ang Kabuhayan, ARISE, Agimat, BHW, Bayaning Tsuper (BTS), Kusog Bikolandia, and Magdalo.
Likewise, The Federation of Free Farmers, a 200,000-strong non-government organization considered one of the biggest in the country, said it is also endorsing Escudero.
The tandems of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan; Senator Ping Lacson and Senate President Tito Sotto; and Senator Manny Pacquiao and Rep. Lito Atienza have adopted Escudero, a consistent topnotcher in various independent pre-election surveys, in their senatorial slates.
UniTeam vice-presidential candidate and incumbent Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and mayors from CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and Eastern Samar, who belong to the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) have likewise endorsed the incumbent leader of Sorsogon. #
