Chiz Keeps No.1 Spot in Publicus Survey of Preferred Senatorial Bets
Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero has once again topped the list of preferred senatorial candidates for the 2022 national elections, according to the independent and non-commissioned quarterly survey conducted by Publicus Asia from December 6 to 10, 2021.

In its Fourth Quarter (Q4) PAHAYAG which Publicus released on December 13, Escudero kept his number 1 ranking from the Q3 polls, after he was picked by almost 57% of 1,500 respondents polled by one of the country’s leading survey companies.

In second place is President Rodrigo Duterte who got 56 percent, while former House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano came in third at 45 percent.

Escudero, who has served the Senate for two consecutive terms, has consistently topped previous pre-election surveys by independent pollsters.

The veteran legislator’s candidacy is supported and endorsed by the tandem of Senator Ping Lacson and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto, the team of Senator Manny Pacquiao and BUHAY Party List Rep. Lito Atienza, and Vice President Leni Robredo and running mate Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

In its Facebook post, Publicus explained that this quarter’s PAHAYAG used purposive sampling comprised of respondents that were randomly drawn from a market research panel of Filipino voters, guided by statistics generated from official Commission on Elections data. #
