With the onslaught of COVID-19, the education sector has shaken up. The educational units are struggling to find options to deal with this challenging situation. The DepEd emphasized resiliency, education must not stop. With the learning continuity plan of the Department, Butuan Central Elementary School open the perspective of Paradigm Shift in the New Normal, from traditional to high-technological.
Several opinions are related with e-learning. Accessibility, flexibility, affordability, learning pedagogy, and policy are some of the arguments related to online pedagogy. With few experience at all, BCES educators find ways in embracing the change and adopting the online modality with the spirit of collaboration. It’s a paradigm shift for the school, lot of issues attached to online education, we cannot ignore the perks of it in this time of crisis, it’s not easy but we are the captain of the ship, ICT Coordinator teacher Edalyn Sumayo, said.
 
With the strong leadership of Dr. Jonas H. Jomonong, the School Principal, together with the 2 ICT Coordinators, the distribution of DepEd account to 850 learners and 42 teachers of Butuan Central Elementary School (BCES) has been successfully managed. School policies in regards with this modality has been set among teachers, learners and parents and conducted orientations through virtual. It’s not an easy flight but with the strong determination, compassion to perform the mission as educators, everything goes well. ###
