Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Agusan Council Holds Annual Local Council Meeting 2025

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Agusan Council officially opened its Annual Local Council Meeting (ALCM) on July 25, 2025, at the Sto. Niño Diocesan Shrine Pastoral Formation Center in Libertad, Butuan City. This significant event gathered Council officials, DepEd representatives, Scout Leaders, and youth members to reflect on the achievements and future goals of the council. With a day packed with reports, recognitions, and scouting milestones, the program reinforced the council’s commitment to molding future leaders through the Scout Oath and Law.
 
The first plenary session focused on essential council matters, including reports from the Council Chairman and Treasurer. These sessions not only provided insights into the progress of the organization but also recognized the outstanding service of members who contributed to the council’s success. The event also marked the election of new officers, who will play a crucial role in driving the direction of the council in the coming years. The newly elected Local Council Executive Board (LCEB) members were introduced, promising fresh leadership and a vision to strengthen the scouting movement in Agusan.
 
The second plenary session centered on vital organizational matters, including the Nomination Committee’s report and the election process. The election of new officers was a highlight, culminating in the announcement of the following LCEB members: Rev. Fr. John Christian U. Young, Mr. Benjie T. Lasam, Mr. Sofronio A. San Luis, Engr. Sisino S. Narisma, Mr. Brando E. Faelnar, Mr. Mabini B. Baluyut, PLT Marlon Eguna, Mr. Mark July P. Yap, Dr. Jane C. Basul, Hon. Marlon R. Labis, Dr. Panfilo Jorge M. Tremedal III, and Dr. Victoria Pabia. Their election signifies a renewed commitment to the values of scouting and the empowerment of the youth.
 
As the meeting came to a close, Rev. Fr. John Christian U. Young delivered a heartfelt closing message, followed by uplifting community singing and the solemn Exit of Colors. The Scout Benediction, led by Scout Alfonso Dingding, concluded the event, leaving everyone with a sense of unity, purpose, and dedication to the scouting movement. With a new leadership team in place, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Agusan Council is poised for continued success and service to the community. ###
