The Department of Education (DepEd) has officially issued guidelines on the adoption of flexible work arrangements within the agency, in accordance with Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2022, which outlines policies on flexible work arrangements in government offices.
The newly released guidelines provide mechanisms, procedures, and standards to assist all DepEd offices and schools in implementing flexible work setups. These policies will guide heads of offices, human resource management officers, and DepEd personnel in ensuring efficient and effective operations while promoting work-life balance.
As per DepEd Order No. 004, s. 2025, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara stated that the initiative aligns with the agency’s commitment to fostering a supportive and adaptable work environment for personnel while maintaining the highest level of service in education.
The order is set to take effect 15 days after its approval, issuance, and publication on the DepEd website. DepEd encourages all concerned personnel to review the guidelines to ensure a smooth transition to the flexible work arrangement.
For further details, stakeholders may visit the official DepEd website or coordinate with their respective regional and division offices. ###
