DepEd to hold National Literacy Conference, Awards

With the theme Cultivating Literate and Peaceful Communities: Practices, Partnerships, and Pathways, the 2024 National Literacy Conference and Awards will be held on December 10 to 13, 2024 in Cebu City.
The 2024 National Literacy Conference will be spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd) through the Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC).
The event will highlight the importance of building a community of practice that brings together individuals with diverse experiences, knowledge, and perspectives on literacy evident through cultivation of literate and peaceful communities through the sharing of best practices; innovations, challenges, and opportunities; and advancement of literacy through policy recommendations.
Also, the event was aimed to create a platform for sharing best practices on literacy; amplify partnerships and engagement with key stakeholders in implementing community-based literacy programs; harvest policy recommendations focused on building pathways to advance literacy for all; and recognize outstanding programs, practices, and accomplishments of literacy champions that significantly contribute to the universalization of literacy. ###
