DepEd warns public on fake scholarships advisories

Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte warns the public about a fake advisory offering Department of Education (DepEd) scholarship circulating online. The advisories area illegally using the DepEd seal and photo of the Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte to scam people.
Vice President and Secretary Duterte strongly advised parents and guardians not to give out their children’s school information and identification to these kinds of hideous posts so as not to compromise their security. The advisories circulating are fake and only use to scam people, the secretary said in an advisory.
In an advisory, DepEd also reminds everyone to stay vigilant against misinformation.
In addition, DepEd also informs and reminds the public that the official announcements and information of the Department are all posted at their officials platforms, to include the following:

DepEd also encouraged the public to report any misleading and suspicious information about basic education to depedactioncenter@deped.gov.ph. ###
