Governor Angel Amante awards Php50K cash incentives to CAARSC Agusan Norte 73 gold medalist, Php5K to coaches

The Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte, led by Provincial Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, proudly awarded cash incentives to exceptional student-athletes and coaches on May 31, 2023, at the Provincial Covered Court, Capitol Compound, who won gold medals at the recent Caraga Athletic Association Regional Sports Competition (CAA-RSC) Meet.
The ceremony was graced by Governor Angel Amante, along with esteemed guests such as Dr. Jeanie L. Mativo, the Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd – Agusan del Norte, Dr. Imelda N. Sabornido, the Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd – Cabadbaran, and other DepEd personnel, who personally handed out cash incentives. Each gold medalist student received Php50,000, while coaches received Php5,000 for every gold medal earned by their respective athletes.
In the overall Caraga results, Agusan del Norte secured the third position, bringing home a total of 62 gold medals in the Regular Games and 11 gold medals in the Special Games.
Governor Angel Amante expressed her gratitude for the students’ hard work and dedication that led to their victories in the various events and competitions held during the CAA-RSC in Cabadbaran City, Butuan City, and the Municipality of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, from April 24 to 28, 2023.
She said, “Gusto ko magpasalamat sa inyohang tanan kay naghatag mo ug daku kaayo og dungog sa Agusan del Norte including Cabadbaran City. Gumikan sa inyong performance. Saludo gyud ko sa inyoha tanan athletes ug coaches. I really salute you.” (I would like to thank all of you for bringing immense honor to Agusan del Norte, including Cabadbaran City, because of your outstanding performance. I truly salute all of you athletes and coaches.)The 50 student-athletes will represent Agusan del Norte and Cabadbaran City in the Palarong Pambansa, where they will compete against other regions in the country from July 27 to August 5 this year.
“Give your best shot in Pambansang Palaro. We will do our best for Cabadbaran City and Agusan del Norte. You will carry our flag with pride,” emphasized the governor.
“Keep up the good work. Continue the good fight,” she added.
Furthermore, the Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte, in collaboration with the Congressional District Office led by Congressman Dale B. Corvera, the 2nd District Representative of Agusan del Norte, provided additional support and assistance to the Agusan del Norte student-athletes. ###
