Taligaman National High School’s New Science Head Teacher After Pandemic

Ma’am Flosie B. Omes, a Science Headteacher who served the Department of Education for 32 years, filed her retirement from the agency. She is known to be a soft-spoken and patient person. Now that she will end her service, who will be the next new head teacher of the Taligaman NHS-Science Department?
When Ma’am Omes resigned, the Science department was left with no head teacher. Because of this, the School Principal asks those qualified teachers to submit their applications for the head teacher I. After waiting for the result, the Science Department of Taligaman NHS welcomed its new head teacher, Ma’am Janet T. Marasigan. She was one of the science teachers and former records- in-charge of the school. Along with other teachers, she applied for the head teacher position taking the chance that God might grant her the rank. It was a blessing for her to be the new head of the department after long years of being in the Teacher III position.Being the new head teacher, Ma’am Janet is still in a period of adjustment. She still recalls that she was one of the teachers observed by the head teacher during class discussions. But that will not happen anymore because she will be the one who will visit every classroom and do the class observations for years.
“I cannot think of a word that will best describe what I feel right now that I am the new head teacher of the Science Department of Taligaman NHS. At this moment, the first thing that comes to my mind is the tasks ahead that need to implement in the department. I am also looking forward to a harmonious relationship with them,” Ma’am Janet said.Her former colleagues who are now under her care expressed their anticipation as she handles the department.
“On behalf of the Science Department, we are very excited to work with Ma’am Janet as our new headteacher. We are here to support her in every endeavor to achieve our goals. We work together as one team,” Sir Jonas, a Master Teacher, commented.
The successful decision takes one step at a time. By God’s grace, reaching one’s goal will be possible. Live everything to God and do the job according to His will. And that is Ma’am Janet’s secret. ###
