The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat announces the call for applications for the 2023 intake of the ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) Programme.
The ACYLS is funded by the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF) that provides rare and unique opportunities for ASEAN professionals and future leaders to increase their knowledge, broaden their horizons, develop work skills, and improve their competitiveness, while also enriching their life experiences during their stay in China.
This year, the ACYLS will provide support for ASEAN nationals to pursue the following programs in top universities in China: Master’s degree for two to three academic years; and Doctoral degree for three to four academic years.
For this year’s recruitment, each ASEAN Member State can recommend up to five doctoral candidates and five master’s degree candidates, who must meet the eligibility requirements.
A total of 55 eligible candidates from across ASEAN will be selected, from which 25 slots are for the doctoral program and 30 for the master’s degree program.
The awardees will be provided with a full scholarship covering the following expenses: tuition and other school fees, accommodation, round-trip international airfare, comprehensive medical insurance, and stipends.
Interested applicants may consult the ACYLS focal points or the Education, Youth, and Sports Division-ASEAN University Network (AUN) Secretariat through email at EYSD@asean.org. Applicants shall submit their applications to ACYLS national focal points of their respective home countries before March 31, 2023. ###
