The National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines (NCBUCP) Inc. will conduct the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U) that will start on December 9 to 11, 2022 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Manila.

The event is anchored on the theme SDG 14: Harnessing the Power of Youth as a Global Citizen to Heal the Ocean.

As per Department of Education (DepEd) Advisory, the participation of learners and teachers from public and private schools shall be purely voluntary and will not hamper instructional time in compliance with the provisions of DepEd Order (DO) No. 34, s. 2022 titled School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2022-2023 and DO 9, s. 2005 titled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith and the policy on off-campus activities stated in DO 66, s. 2017.

Also, this is subject to the no-collection policy as stated in Section 3 of Republic Act No. 5546 also known as An Act Prohibiting the Sale of Tickets and/or the Collection of Contributions for Whatever Project or Purpose from Students and Teachers of Public and Private Schools, Colleges and Universities.

The NCBUCP has lined up various activities and competitions to strengthen the UNESCO Clubs’ intrinsic mandate of being grassroot changemakers, and empowering them to carry on the challenge of localizing efforts anchored on regional and international declarations. ###
