Gulayan sa Paaralan Program o GPP is one of the programs of the Department of Education to address malnutrition and hunger. That promotes vegetable production and consumption among children. In the new normal Lamosig Elementary School implements the Gulayan sa Paaralan Palaganapin sa Tahanan which involves not only the pupils but Teachers, parents, 4ps, and other stakeholders who assume responsibility for sustainability and additional fruit baskets for everyone.
Through the commitment and support of the community, the GPP was successful. Varies stakeholders give support through handling different kinds of seeds. The highlight of this program was to harvest on the community their own. The smiles on their faces are evidence of happiness and simple living.
The school was awarded as the Division Winner for the Gawad Siklab 2022: Search for the Most Outstanding Gulayan Sa Paaralan Implementer SY 2021-2022 (Elementary Category) on November 12, 2022 held at Watergate Butuan City.
As the winner of the GPP Program Lamosig ES will continue to bow its advocacy to eliminate hunger among learners and help the community as the mantra of the Department of Education that their will be no children left behind. ###
