Public Schools in Butuan Benchmark SBM Practices in Taligaman NHS

Taligaman National High School (Taligaman NHS) is the first secondary school in Butuan City to be awarded as School-Based Management (SBM) Level 3 on November 26, 2019 at Almont Inland Resort, J.C. Aquino Avenue, Butuan City. It also passed its first surveillance conducted on May 12, 2021 and second surveillance on June 15, 2022 making it as one of the premier schools in the Division of Butuan.
With these recognitions, public schools in Butuan City visited the school to benchmark the SBM Best Practices since 2021. Among these schools were Libertad National High School (Libertad NHS), Basag National High School (Basag NHS), Los Angeles National High School (Los Angeles NHS), Butuan City Senior High School – Stand Alone, La Trinidad Integrated Secondary School (La Trinidad ISS), Butuan City Comprehensive High School (BCCHS), Ampayon National High School (Ampayon NHS), Tungao National High School (Tungao NHS), Al Viola Village Integrated Secondary School (Al Viola ISS), Mahay Integrated Secondary School (Mahay ISS), Kinamlutan National High School (Kinamlutan NHS), De Oro Elementary School (De Oro ES), and Florida National High School (Florida NHS).School SBM Team including the Principal Mr. Elmer M. Cataluña, SBM Coordinator Mr. Melvin C. Cabonegro, Principle A Chairperson Mr. Glen Banaybanay Pacot, Principle B Chairperson Mr. Ian S. Ortojan, Principle C Chairperson Mr. Jonas F. Saldia, and Principle D Chairperson Mrs. Maryanne G. Apostol facilitated the benchmarking and shared the best practices.
