The Department of Education (DepEd) encourages teachers in both public and private schools in all levels nationwide to take the online course dubbed as Disability-Inclusive Teaching in Emergencies or DTeEm.

The online course is divided into modules to include the following: Module 1 – Stress Management and Psychosocial support; Module 2 – Utilization of different Assistive Technologies; Module 3 – Developing Emergency Response Plan; and Module 4 – Continuity of Learning.

The online course as a regional response to the COVID-19 Pandemic was developed and piloted under the project Responding to the Educational needs of Learners with Disabilities during Emergencies through the Southeast Asian Ministry of Education Organization (SEAMEO), in collaboration with UNESCO Bangkok Asia and the Pacific Regional Bureau for Education. ###
