DepEd Caraga to cater PDL in ALS program

The Department of Education (DepEd) Caraga region headed by regional director Ma. Gemma Mercado Ledesma is in full support to the developmental programs offered to all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) by catering them in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.
Based on the memorandum issued by director Ledesma, DepEd through the Curriculum and Learning Management division, the DepEd Caraga ALS task force will conduct the Training-Workshop on Instructional Materials (IMs for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology ALS Instructional Managers and Facilitators on March 28-30, 2022 at Doongan Integrated School in Butuan City.
The activity is aimed to provide a wide and complete information and knowledge about Alternative Learning System Program; equip with the knowledge and the correct process on how the different assessment forms be used; enhance ALS jail unit facilitator’s skills and attitude in accomplishing RPL and Assessment forms and other important requirements; develop sense of responsibility in filling the different assessment forms with accuracy; equip with the knowledge on the process of portfolio assessment for ALS learners; and walkthrough the different learning strands and the importance of each ALS MELCs. ###
