Covid-19 vaccines administered in Caraga hit over 2.5M

The Department of Health in Region 13 (DOH-13) has so far administered 2,548,265 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Caraga region.
 
This came about as the DOH-13 said Monday that their vaccination efforts remain unhampered amid the rising Covid-19 infections in the area.
 
“A total of 1,228,597 individuals in Caraga Region are fully vaccinated as of Jan. 23 (Sunday) while 69,470 individuals were administered with their booster shots in the same period,” the DOH-13 report said.
 
The number of fully vaccinated persons represents 43.72 percent of the total target for vaccination in the region.
 
The highest number of fully vaccinated individuals in the region belongs to the A4 category or the frontline personnel in essential sectors with 307,119; followed by the A3 (persons with comorbidities) at 206,366; and the ROPP (rest of pediatric population) with 176,472.
 
The agency’s report also indicated that a total of 175,443 individuals in the ROAP category (rest of adult population) in the region are already fully vaccinated; 164,612 in A5 (indigenous population); 131,247 in A2 (senior citizens); and 51,977 in A1 (frontline health workers).
 
The rest of the priority groups with full vaccinations in the region include the EA1 (outbound OFWs) with 11,436; PA3 (pediatric population with comorbidities) with 2,293; and EA3 (pregnant women) with 1,632.
 
Meanwhile, the DOH-13 also reported that 569 new Covid-19 infections were added to their list on Sunday, bringing the total active cases in the area to 3,673.
 
At present, the agency said the total cumulative Covid-19 cases in the region presently stands at 53,383 with 47,892 recoveries as 146 new recoveries were recorded on Sunday.
 
The Covid-19 related death toll in the region stands at 1,918. (PNA)
