DepEd calls on Professional Development Program Proposals

The Department of Education (DepEd) per DepEd Memorandum No. 081, s. 2021 signed by Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) announces the Call for Submission of Professional Development Program and Course Proposals for Public School Teachers and School Leaders from DepEd Service Providers.
Said call is in line with DepEd Order (DO) No. 001, s. 2020 titled guidelines for National Educators Academy of the Philippines Recognition of Professional Development Program and Courses for Teachers and School Leaders.
The call for proposals is open for DepEd Central Office Bureaus, Services and Units, Regional Offices, and Schools Divisions Offices, which seek to offer Professional Development programs and courses intended for all public school teachers and school leaders for inclusion in the NEAP Professional Development Programs.
The proposals shall be evaluated based on the criteria stated in DO 001, s. 2020, that include the following: Alignment with NEAP Professional Development Priorities as stated in DepEd Memorandum No. 050, s.2020; Mapping of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) or the Philippine Professional Standards for School Supervisors (PPSS); Articulation of Objectives/Outcomes; Alignment of the Objectives/Intended Learning Outcomes (lLOs), Content and, if applicable, Assessment with the professional standards for teachers or school leaders; Soundness of Methodology; Mechanism to determine whether or not the objectives/ILOs have been met; Strength of Research-base; Use of Adult Learning Principles; Use of Recognized Best Practices; Intended Level Classroom Application and Innovation; Credentials, Expertise of Resource Person/s; and Budget and Costing and Absorptive Capacity.
