Taligaman NHS launches Project COUNTER
By GLEN BANAYBANAY PACOT
Taligaman National High School (Taligaman NHS) continued to provide great innovations especially in this time of pandemic. One of which was Project COUNTER or Checking-out Undoubtedly and Turning-in Efficiently of Resources that was launched on September 13, 2021 by the innovator Mr. Glen Banaybanay Pacot to all Grade Levels. It was through the implementation of the project that learning resources (LRs) were checked-out undoubtedly and turned-in efficiently with the ultimate purpose of decreasing the chance of COVID-19 transmission.
The project introduced 3 easy steps in checking-out the LRs during the Distribution Phase: Pick Double-check, and Swipe. From the box outside the classroom, parents picked one envelope with LRs inside. Using the checklist inside the envelope, parents double-checked the contents inside to ensure that none was missing. Using the bar-coded IDs, parents swiped it against a scanner to record a default number of distributed resources. In the retrieval phase, parents followed again 3 easy steps in turning-in the LRs: Double-check, Drop, and Swipe. Using the checklist, parents double-checked that the number of resources turned-in was the same as the number of resources checked-out. After making it sure that everything was complete, parents dropped the resources to their corresponding boxes outside the classroom. Then parents swiped the barcoded IDs against the scanner to record a default complete retrieved resources.
“I found the module distribution and retrieval easy because of this innovation. Thanks to the school for coming up with this project”, said Mrs. Dawog, Grade 10 Einstein parent.
This project was supported by the school through the Taligaman NHS Faculty Association. This Project COUNTER is situated inside the Module Pantry which also answered the limited working force present during Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) status of Butuan City. ###
