Most Outstanding School-Based Feeding Program Best Implementer Announced

Five schools of DepEd Butuan City division were announced as best implementing schools in terms of effectiveness and efficiency in implementing school-based feeding program through division memorandum no. 290, s. 2021 dated July 22, 2021.
Tagabaca IS garnered the first place followed by San Mateo Annex ES, second, Bilay ES, third, Mandacpan ES, fourth and Villa Kananga IS, fifth respectively. Tagabaca IS is the official entry of the division to the regional search.
School-based feeding program (SBFP) is one of DepEd’s priority programs which aims to address hunger and encourage learners to enroll; contribute to the improvement of their nutritional status; provide nourishment for their growth and development and help boost their immune system; and enhance health and nutrition values and behavior.
The SBFP is in compliance with RA No. 11037 otherwise known as the “Masustansiyang Pagkain Para sa Batang Pilipino Act” signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on June 18, 2020 and was later augmented in the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. ###
