LRMS Butuan launched 15 Localized Storybooks

The Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) in the Department of Education continuously develops programs and projects to help learners grow holistically anchored on the RA 10533 indicated in Rule II. Curriculum section 10.3 production and development of materials.
 
In response with the programs and projects, LRMS Butuan City Division through the leadership of LRMS Supervisor Dr. Donald D. Orbillos and his team Joshua Albia and Imee Concepcion conducted seminar -workshop for Learning Resource Writers, Illustrators, Lay-out artist and Quality Assurance Evaluators to capacitate the teachers in the making of learning resource materials and how to evaluate this based on DepEd learning standards on February 28 to March 1, 2018 at Grand Palace, attended by some Division Supervisors who served as Quality Assurance Evaluators. The outcome and findings of learning resource evaluation were presented to the writers and revision of illustrations followed.
 
Writers were called few months after the seminar for the feedbacks and to discuss the modification based on the findings and recommendations of Quality Assurance Evaluators. Another seminar-workshop conducted for the writers for the final revision of their storybooks held at Amaris on September 2018.  All illustrators and lay-out artist as well were capacitated on digitizing the illustrations of the learning resource on the same date.
 
After several revisions, the 33 core group of writers, illustrators and lay-out artist were able to reach to the finishing line of producing quality assured storybooks led by the LRMS Butuan team under supervision of SDS Romeo Approvechar.
 
The goal of the Department of Education Butuan is to produce the storybooks to be distributed to all schools. With much effort done by the LRMS Division Team and Atty. Glen C. Carampatana, Chairman of Education Committee help to realize this goal through purchasing printing equipment for the production of these storybooks with the approval of our Honorable Mayor Vicente Ronnievic C. Lagnada as Chairman of Local School Board.
 
The 15 storybooks was formally launched on November 17, 2019 at Butuan Central Elementary School Quad attended by SDS Marilou B. Dedumo, 15 District Supervisors, Principals and teachers from other participating schools.
 
A salute to the people working behind who passionately give their hearts and much effort in creating learning resources for our learners and to the city government who supported this long journey of making even up to now. ###
