DepEd announces Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees

Pursuant to the Department of Education (DepEd) Memorandum No. 0101, s. 2021 titled Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awards, DepEd, through the External Partnerships Service, and in partnership with Nestle Philippines announces Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees.
The awardees were selected from the 97 nominees who are Grade 5 and 6 learners of public elementary schools from 11 regions in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Caraga region made it to top 10 and the awardee is Rich Lianne Jacobe Dano from Socorro Central Elementary School and SPED Center of DepEd Siargao Island Division.
The 10 Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees were selected and evaluated based on the following criteria and deliberated on June 17, 2021:
- Inspiring Tibay story – 50%;
- Academic Achievement: Minimum of 85% latest general average – 25%; and
- Degree of involvement in non-academic/extracurricular projects: school and/or community – 25%
Each of the awardees will received Bear Brand Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Plaque of Recognition; P50,000 cash prize; College scholarship grant; and Bear Brand Fortified gift pack. The respective elementary schools will also receive Bear Brand Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Plaque of Recognition; Laptop computer; and Bear Brand Fortified gift pack. ###
