BSP Eastern Mindanao Conducts a Regional Webinar on Road Safety

In coordination with the Department of Transportation-Caraga (DOTr), the BSP Eastern Mindanao Region conducted a webinar on Road Safety on June 17, 2020. This was held via Zoom and broadcasted at the BSP Facebook Page (@BspAgusanCouncil) via Facebook Live.
In a span of two (2) hours, Mr. Lino M. España, Jr., OIC-Chief of the Operations Division in the Department of Transportation-Caraga discussed the basics of Road Safety and the rules and regulations of Land Transportation Office (LTO) to the road users like pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, vehicle passengers, and passengers of on-road public transport.
Present in the seminar were: Regional Director of Eastern Mindanao Region, Sir Arnel C. Delute, LT; BSP International Commissioner and Council Chairman of Agusan Council, Hon. Dale B. Corvera; Regional Program Commissioner of Eastern Mindanao Region, Ma’am Jeselyn Dela Cuesta; BSP Agusan Council Scout Executive, Ma’am Cherry Ann D. Estrada, and all the participants from Agusan, Agusan del Sur, General Santos City, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, Sarangani, Camiguin, Siargao, Compostela Valley, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Davao del Sur, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Tagum City, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
During the opening, Regional Director of Eastern Mindanao Region, Sir Arnel C. Delute, LT emphasized the importance of the Road Safety and the role that Scouts will take especially that most people spend more hours outside their homes and a big percentage of this is in the streets.This Road Safety Webinar achieved its aim which is to virtually educate the scouts to be well-equipped with knowledge and skills on road safety as well as to have traffic awareness and respect to all the road safety rules in the Philippines. ###
