High School Teachers Undergo Virtual Scout Training

In partnership between the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and the Department of Education (DepEd), the BSP Agusan Council conducted a 3-Day Basic Training Course for Outfit Advisors on 28-30 of April 2021 via Zoom.
 
This training has been carried out to furnish the participants with the basic knowledge and skills in administering the scouting program into a scout unit, help the youth grow to their full potential and develop their academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. source
 
The three-day training focuses on the basics about scouting. Such topics are: Course Organization and Routine, Smartness and Good Order, History of Scouting, Fundamentals and Ideals of Scouting, WOSM and the BSP Structure, Introduction to the Life Cycle of Adults in Scouting, Youth Program and the BSP Scouting Family, Understanding the Young People, The Senior Scouting Program, and the like.  At the duration of the training, the facilitators implemented webinar protocols and strict monitoring of the attendance of the 80 participants.
 
The training was facilitated by BSP Agusan Council Scout Executive, Ma’am Cherry Ann D. Estrada; BSP Division Coordinator, Mr. Leonil A. Obiedo; Council Program Commissioner, Mr. Alfonso I. Dingding; Course Managers of Learning and Wood Badge Holders as discussants, Mr. Jeffry M. Panes as the head of the technical committee; and Ma’am Daisy Mae V. Cunanan as the moderator.
 
The training was ended with a closing program and the participants were expected to be ready to prepare the youth to become agents of change in communities and to become responsible citizens and capable leaders anchored on the scout oath and law. ###
