DepEd Butuan on the opening of classes for S.Y. 2020-2021

Butuan City – Schools in the Division of Butuan City welcomes the S.Y. 2020-2021 on October 5, 2020. All public schools in Division of Butuan City from Elementary to Senior High School formally starts the classes after two months of postponement. The opening of classes from different levels were participated by teaching and non-teaching personnel assigned for that day following the quarantine pass. Under the new normal, the operation of classes in all schools should adhere the mandated health protocols and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of corona virus among the teaching and non-teaching personnel.

For this S.Y. 2020-2021, schools in Butuan City Division are implementing the different modalities namely: pure modular- printed and digital, online, blended and radio-based instructions. Among the different modalities, most of the schools are offering the modular printed modality because of the problems of internet connectivity and availability of laptops/gadgets among the learners.

In the implementation of modular learning in different schools for this S.Y. 2020-2021, the guidance of the SDO, cooperation of the parents/guardians to the school staff together with the LGU is very essential to deliver quality education amidst pandemic. ###
