MLPES assures no child left behind; ranks as Best School

While there have been incurred increases in participation rates at the Mariana L. Pineda Elementary School (MLPES), the school faculty as well as its throng members of the General Parents and Teachers Association (GPTA) have guaranteed that it will continue to provide basic education opportunities of learners who have left school.
In maintaining the zero dropout rates of MLPES, several specific interventions had implemented like intensified home visitations; collaborative meetings with the parents; using the modified learning modules; and feeding programs.
The reported success in these intensified efforts through the school’s Drop Out Reduction Program (DORP), School Principal Maria Aurora E. Ecoben said. “Because of our effective intervention programs with the parent’s full participation and the dedicated teachers, we have experienced remarkable success in reducing the dropout rate and placed the school as the Regional Winner for Zero – Dropout Rate in the CARAGA Region” she added.
These efforts have paid off as MLPES was recognized as Best Placer for Non-central Schools Category of the Search for Best Practices in Sustaining Zero Dropout for the school Year 2014-2015, S.Y. 2015-2016, and S.Y. 2016-2017 based from the Regional Memorandum No. 643, series of 2018 of the Department of Education CARAGA Region.
“This recognition is the result of our consorted efforts and we could see that the programs were effective to reduce, if not eradicate, the problem of dropouts by addressing the problems that prevent students from completing their elementary education” she concluded.
Living this result and following the statements of DepEd Secretary Briones in one of her interviews that education is for all, what the United Nations says is that no one should be left behind in progress in education and health, MLPES continually sustains this endeavor until no child will be left behind with the quality of education they deserve. ###
