DepEd Caraga holds GAD convention

The Department of Education (DepEd) Caraga Region will hold a 3-day Gender and Development (GAD) Convention on March 13-16, 2019.
The activity is part of the agency’s Women’s Month Celebration which is done annually nationwide.
In a regional memorandum no. 64, s. 2019, DepEd Caraga OIC-regional director Francis Cesar B. Bringas, CESO V said that the activity is aimed to enhance gender sensitivity awareness among the Gender Focal Point System (GFPS) members and reorient them of the different Gender Mainstreaming strategies and Gender Analysis tools to ensure that all programs and projects of their respective functional divisions are mainstreamed in Gender Development Program.
During the event, topics on Gender Sensitivity Training, Gender Mainstreaming, Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework, harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Online Safety will be tackled.
Also, a research output on Gender Mainstreaming in Butuan City shall be presented.
Director Bringas enjoins all GFPS members, GAD coordinators, Youth Formation Coordinators and the Partnership Focal Persons of the 12 schools’ division offices of the region to participate the said event. ###
