DepEd Butuan holds ‘oplan galugad kontra dengue’

BUTUAN CITY – With the increasing number of Dengue cases in Butuan City, the Department of Education Butuan City Division through its disaster risk reduction and management division will initiate the conduct of the ‘Oplan Galugad Kontra Dengue’.
Schools division superintendent (SDS) Romeo O. Aprovechar issued division memorandum number 30, series of 2019 instructing all schools in Butuan City to conduct a synchronize ‘Opan Galugad Kontra Dengue’ on January 21, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.
According to SDS Aprovechar, the activity will focus on Clean-up, Search and Destroy the possible breeding area of mosquito carrying dengue viruses.
Schools will be visited by a division personnel to monitor the implementation of the activity.
As per record of the Department of Health, 10 barangays are declared as hot spot, to include: Ambago, Doongan, Libertad, Bonbon, Baan Km. 3, Mahogany, Obrero, San Vicente, Taligaman, and Villa Kananga. ###
