DepEd Butuan holds kindergarten fun day

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Education (DepEd) Order 47, series of 2016 also known as Omnibus Policy on Kindergarten Education states that “Children learn best through play and active involvement in concrete and meaningful experiences.
Giving importance to child’s development, the DepEd Butuan City Division will conduct a Kindergarten Fun Day on November 12, 2018 in time with the celebration of the 26th National Children’s Month.
This year’s celebration is anchored on the theme “Isulong: Tamang Pag-aaruga Para Sa Lahat ng Bata.” The activity will be hosted by Central Butuan District I at the Butuan Central Elementary School covered court.
Play is essential to healthy and holistic child development as it gives children opportunities to learn about and understand their world and practice newly acquired skills.
The activity helps promote the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills stimulation and values formation of the kinder pupils; strengthen the relationship and camaraderie among school heads, teachers, stakeholders, parents, and pupils in the community through active involvement in the different activities; and advocate positive parenting by providing activities in the classroom that will strengthen parent-child relationship. ###
