Butuan City Division conducts Science Fun Day

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Education (DepEd) Butuan City Division in partnership with the city government of Butuan recently conducted the first Division Science Fun Day at San Vicente National High School here.
The one-day activity was participated by the different elementary schools of the city.
The activity, which is funded by the city government of Butuan, is aimed to address the need in collaboration and sustainable sharing of knowledge to the learners scientifically as well the love of the environment.
The participants are grouped into five. Each group has different station to join and observe. Experimentation was observed by the participants. They really amazed and enjoyed the activities in which they really experienced or doing it.
Part of the activity is film showing about the global warming and illegal logging activities.
In the afternoon, they experienced hiking and observing the nature. Each group planted trees in the designated areas in which they also write their promises and pledges about the environment.
The Science Fun day is a worthwhile activity, which the participants truly enjoyed, and help enhanced their knowledge on academic and awareness on the environment. (DepEd-Butuan City Division)
