Tungao Central ES tree planting

A total of 205 mahogany seedlings and five (5) narra seedlings were planted last March 17, 2017 at Tungao Lauan Park and along the school premises.
The said seedlings were donated by the DENR CENRO in response to the National Greening Program (NGP) and DepEd’s Green Friday in which pupils are required to plant, grow and care trees as the best way in saving Mother Nature and fighting against climate change.
Before the tree planting, DENR CENRO personnel conducted a short orientation to the pupils and teachers on how to plant seedlings properly.
Recognizing the school’s continuous efforts in tree planting, tree growing and caring in support of the department’s various programs to fight against climate change, DENR CENRO gave a certificate of recognition to Tungao CES.
The said activity was participated by the DENR CENRO, Hon. Ann Margaret Alim, kagawad in-charge of education of barangay Tungao, Mr. Rey Raot-Raot, GPTA President, Ms. Sheena Tubilag, GPTA Treasurer and other GPTA officers, teachers, parents, barangay tanod, and grade six pupils.
