Legal, ethical challenges in classroom and school management workshop set

BUTUAN CITY — The Philippine Pedagogical Institute (PPI) will conduct the International Seminar/Training/Workshop on Legal and Ethical Challenges in Classroom and School Management in Baguio City.

In an advisory issued by the Department of Education (DepEd), a three-day workshop to be participated by teachers, school principals, college and university officials, deans, supervisors, and directors from both public and private schools will be held on April 29 to May 1, 2017.

The seminar-workshop aims to help the participants define the role of a school supervisor and the needed skills and behaviors to succeed.

During the workshop, the different functions of management –planning; organizing; leading; and controlling will be discussed and will be explained by the resource persons.

Also, the workshop will be a venue to understand the school management practices in the United States and learn lessons, which are applicable in the participants’ own contexts. ## (Helena C. Palen, Obrero Elementary School, DepEd Butuan City Division)
