BES contends in 2016 district reading, learning material expo
BUTUAN CITY — The Bit-os Elementary School (BES) competed in the different events during the 2016 District Reading Festival and Learning Expo at West Central Elementary School on November 11.
With the theme “My Love of Reading: A key to unlock my future dream and aspirations”, different categories were competed in each grade level.
Among the events competed include: Spelling in Mother Tongue for Grade One, the 1st place was won by Maon Elementary School contestant, 2nd place by Bea Mariz C. Indac of Bit-os Elementary School with the coach Estela C. Camilosa , 3rd place Mandacpan Elementary School contestant.
For the Grade Two Spelling in Filipino event, Bit-os Elementary School’s Kim Kyle won the 1st place with the coach Mrs. Filadelfa Olarit, 2nd place Mandacpan Elementary School, and 3rd place Maon Elementary School participants.
The Grade Three spelling in English event winners were: 1st place – West Central Elementary School contestant; 2nd place – Bit-os Elementary School’s Anna Claire Avila with her coach Mrs. Valeriana C. Cloma; and 3rd place – Maon Elementary School contestant.
For the Jazz chant event, the 1st place was won by Grade Four of West central Elem. School; 2nd place – San Vicente Elementary School; and 3rd place – Bit-os Elementary School with the coach Joy Carol A. Ardecer.
Winners for the Verse Choir in Grade Five events were: 1st place West Central Elementary School; 2nd place – San Vicente Elementary School; 3rd place – San Vicente Elementary School.
The Story Telling in Grade Six events winners are: 1st place – Bit-os Elementary School by Pauline Leop with the coach Gemma T. Tito.
Different learning or instructional materials (IMs) in every subject were showcased during the learning expo that resembled the creativity and resourcefulness of the teachers with the aim to develop quality education on this 21st century learners. ## (Gemma T. Tito, DepEd Butuan City)
