TNHS grabs the most coveted awards
Among the large secondary schools in Butuan City, Taligaman National High School (TNHS) was hailed as 1st Place winner during the 2016 Division Search for Best Brigada Eskwela Implementing School paving its way to represent Butuan City Division in the Regional Level.
This weeklong event also known as the National Maintenance Week kicked off on May 30, 2016 in which the school hosted the Division Launching of Brigada Eskwela 2016. On the same date, a ground breaking ceremony of an additional two-storey building was also conducted. This flagship program of the Department of Education aims to engage all education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that public school facilities are prepared for school opening. The closing program transpired on June 4, 2016.
“The school is very much fortunate to host the Division Launching of Brigada Eskwela 2016. Thus, we receive now more support from our beloved stakeholders. We can ensure that this school will be 100% ready for the opening of school,” said Mrs. Ruth Castromayor, TNHS Principal.
During the Oplan Balik-Eskwela on June 6 – 10, 2016, TNHS Faculty and Staff worked even harder to prepare the classrooms by updating learning resources and instructional materials. With this, the school was awarded as One of the Top 3 Most Prepared Senior High Schools and One of the Top 5 Most Prepared Junior High Schools in the Division of Butuan City.
“I am overwhelmed with the huge success that the school is receiving this time. To God be the glory for these blessings. I am so thankful to my brilliant and responsible faculty and staff who are willing to spend their precious times, efforts and even money to give the best for our students. Also, to our ever supportive stakeholders who never leave us in this great endeavour,” said Mrs. Castromayor.
The awarding ceremony happened in the 7th Management Committee Conference on June 29, 2016 at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City. ## (By: Glen B. Pacot)
