Butuan school participates joint BSP and GSP camporal
BUTUAN CITY — The Southwest District jointly conducted their District Encampment last September 9-10 at San Vicente Elementary School, San Vicente headed by the District Supervisor, Mrs. Leona A. Carmelo, with the theme “Building Good Character for Brighter Tomorrow”.
Bit-os Elementary School had 146 scouts-participants including twinker and kid, star and kawan, girl scouts and boy scouts.
At day 1 September 9, at 8:30 in the morning an opening program with different scouts yells and attendance recognition given by every schools. Mrs. Leona A. Carmelo, District Supervisor gave her opening message, which greatly focused the essence of scouting and how to live as true scouters.
At 10:00 in the morning to five in the afternoon, different activities were undertaken. All participants enjoyed and cherished every moment of it. It was highlighted on Search for Mr. and Mrs. BSP and GSP 2016 at 8:00 -10:00 in the evening.
Luckily West Central Elementary School contestant was Mr. BSP 2016 and San Vicente Elementary School contestant was Ms. GSP 2016. The Bit-os Elem. School contestants Mr. Ram Carampatana got 4th place while Ms. Hussa Pontimar got 5th place, Best in Sports Attire and Ms. Photogenic.
At Day 2, September 10, in the morning GSPs had their Scouts Own and the BSPs had their hiking. A short closing program was taken. All BSP and GSP departed at 10: 00 in the morning with a smile in their faces. (Gemma T. Tito, DepEd Butuan City Division)
