Bit-os ES holds SLAC session

BUTUAN CITY — The School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) of Bit-os Elementary School (BES) was successfully conducted on August 1.

The said learning engagement was actively participated by Juvie R. Plazo, Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Gemma T. Tito and Estela C. Camilosa, Grade I teachers, Mrs. Filadelfa D. Oclarit and Mrs. Annie M. Miranda, Grade II teachers, Mrs. Laarni C. Berandal, Grade III teacher. Mrs. Valeriana C. Cloma, MT-I of BES facilitated the said session that made the activity a success.

Furthermore, the said session was monitored and supervised by Dr. Isidro T. Biol, Jr., Regional Education Program Supervisor, Dr. Maria Dinah D. Abalos, EPS-I in English and Division ELN Focal Person, Mr. Orlando O. Asis, EPS-I in Filipino and Mrs. Leona A. Carmelo, Southwest District Supervisor.

Dr. Jonas H. Jomonong, P-II of BES shared his inputs on the strengths and weakness of the session and gave the schedule, venue and topic for the next session during the debriefing. On the other hand, Dr. Biol gave a commendable feedback on the said activity.

The conduct of SLAC is in relation to the Division Memorandum No.218 s.2016 which aims to: Develop in the Filipino children the literacy and numeracy skills & attitudes that will contribute to lifelong learning; Develop a cost effective professional development system through school-based mentoring or learning partnership program for primary school teachers and instructional leaders; and Improve the learning outcomes of the Kindergarten to Grade 3 pupils following the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum.
