AgNor PDRRMC to train council members on emergency response

BUTUAN CITY, Sept. 20 – The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Agusan del Norte will hold a three-day Basic Incident Command System (ICS) on October 10 to 12 at the Gazebo Pools and Restaurant in Cabadbaran City.

PDRRM officer Erma Suyo said, the three-day ICS will train selected provincial employees and council members who have directly involve in the emergency response.

Also, it aims to develop a better appreciation and understanding of ICS and will also highlight the discussions on the core principle, features and functions of ICT, Suyo said.

The ICS is held in order to have a standardized approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response in the entire province and to provide a common hierarchy within which responders from multiple offices/agencies can be effective. (NCLM/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
